Dr. Mehrit Tekeste is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Maryland and a member of PSYPACT, which authorizes her to provide telehealth services to clients in over 30 participating states. This allows for flexible, accessible care for individuals seeking virtual therapy across state lines.

Dr. Tekeste earned her B.A. in Psychology from American University, and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University. She has received advanced clinical training in a range of settings, including college counseling centers, a community-based mental health clinic, and a substance use treatment facility.

She offers both short- and long-term individual therapy and comprehensive psychological assessments, working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Her clinical focus includes:
