My approach to therapy
I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and genuinely accepted. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and tailored to your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, DBT, and family systems perspectives. Together, we'll identify what matters most to you and work toward meaningful, sustainable growth.
Faith and values
For clients who desire it, I am happy to thoughtfully integrate Christian faith into therapy. Whether faith is central to your healing or simply an important part of your identity, I strive to provide care that respects and honors your beliefs without making assumptions about them.

Hi, I’m Taiesha Joseph-Abrams, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who believes therapy should be a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up as your authentic self. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, and difficulties with emotional regulation.
My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered techniques. Together, we will explore patterns that may be holding you back, build practical coping skills, strengthen your confidence, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.
I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, and you do not have to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for something different, I am here to support you as you work toward greater self-awareness, healing, and personal growth.
My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to become the version of yourself you are working toward.
