Therapy
Therapy Services
We provide in-person and virtual individual therapy for teens and adults seeking support with emotional, relational, and psychological challenges. Our goal is to create a space where you feel understood, grounded, and supported as you work through what’s been difficult and move toward meaningful change.
Therapy here is collaborative and tailored to you—not a one-size-fits-all process. We meet you where you are and work together to better understand your experiences, patterns, and goals in a way that feels supportive and manageable.
What We Help With
We work with individuals navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety and stress, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship and family challenges, self-esteem and shame, ADHD and executive functioning difficulties, cultural identity and bicultural adjustment, and intergenerational trauma.
You do not need to “have it all figured out” before starting therapy. Many people come in simply knowing something feels heavy, stuck, or overwhelming, and we begin there.
Our Approach to Therapy
Our work is grounded in a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and collaborative approach. We believe therapy is most effective when there is trust, safety, and a strong therapeutic relationship.
We draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family systems and multicultural frameworks. These approaches are used flexibly, depending on your needs and what feels most helpful for your goals.
Rather than focusing on “fixing,” we focus on understanding patterns, building emotional awareness, and developing practical tools that support your everyday life and relationships.
What You Can Expect
In your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know you, what brings you in, and what you hope to get out of therapy. We’ll also talk about what the process can look like and answer any questions you may have.
Therapy is a gradual process. We move at a pace that feels right for you, with an emphasis on feeling safe, respected, and in control of your own direction.
A Note on Fit
Finding the right therapist matters. Our hope is that you leave the first few sessions with a sense of clarity about whether this feels like a supportive fit for you. If it does, we’ll continue building from there together.
In addition to therapy services, we also offer access to a mental health support app designed to extend care beyond the therapy hour. The app provides tools and resources that can help you stay connected to your goals between sessions, reinforce what you’re working on in therapy, and support day-to-day emotional wellbeing.
This can include check-ins, reflections, skill-building tools, and gentle reminders that support consistency and self-awareness throughout the week.
Our goal is to make support more accessible, continuous, and integrated into your everyday life, not just something that happens during appointments.
