Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, licensed Mental Health Provider to join our practice as an Independent Contractor. This is a fully virtual position serving clients throughout the DMV area, offering the flexibility to build a schedule that works for you while still being part of a supportive, community-oriented team.

The ideal clinician is grounded in evidence-based practice, comfortable working with diverse populations, and committed to delivering thoughtful, client-centered care. This role is especially well-suited for providers who value autonomy, meaningful clinical work, and the opportunity to grow within a culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide virtual individual and/or family therapy to clients in the DMV area

  • Complete accurate, timely, and ethical clinical documentation

  • Conduct intake assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor clinical progress

  • Collaborate with the practice owner as needed to support high-quality client care

  • Attend supervision if provisionally licensed (supervision available)

  • Maintain compliance with state regulations, ethical standards, and practice policies

  • Manage your schedule, caseload, and workflow independently as a contractor

Qualifications

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related mental health field

  • Provisionally licensed clinicians are welcome; supervision can be provided

  • Experience providing therapy or mental health services (telehealth experience preferred)

  • Strong cultural humility; familiarity with or interest in serving Habesha (Ethiopian/Eritrean) communities is a plus

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of clinical care

  • Reliable internet connection and a private, confidential workspace

Contract Type

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits.
